We're Gabriel and Kristy, the couple behind Top Marinas and YouSail.
Our dream is simple. Buy a sailing yacht, move aboard and see where the wind takes us. Australia first. Then the Pacific. Maybe much further.
We're not there yet. We're still learning, taking courses, spending time on boats and asking a lot of questions.
Where do we keep the boat?
One of those questions kept coming back: where do we keep the boat?
Which marinas take liveaboards? Which ones suit a sailing yacht? Where do you stop on the way north? The answers were scattered across hundreds of websites, forums and Facebook groups. We wanted one place that brought Australian marinas together. We couldn't find it, so we built it.
That's Top Marinas. It's the marina guide we needed ourselves, built by two sailors in the making.
Learning as we go
We're not going to pretend we've tied up at every marina in Australia. We haven't. We're learning as we go, and sharing what we find. The real knowledge comes from the marina teams we interview.
