These terms cover your use of TopMarinas.com.au. By using the site you accept them.

What this site is

TopMarinas.com.au publishes independent rankings and profiles of Australian commercial marinas. The rankings combine verifiable facts with our own editorial judgement about how those facts should be weighted. They are an opinion — a considered and documented one, but an opinion — and not a statement that any marina is objectively better than another for your purposes.

Independence and paid placement

Ranking cannot be bought. No marina operator pays for a position, there is no listing tier, package or upgrade that moves a marina up the table. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting as an agent for any marina or marina network we list. If this ever changes, it will be disclosed prominently before it takes effect.

Accuracy, and its limits

We take accuracy seriously and publish our sources. We also publish what we do not know: facts we cannot confirm from a published source are marked NV rather than guessed, and incomplete category assessments remain unranked until all publication requirements are met.

Even so, information here may be incomplete, superseded or wrong. Marinas change their facilities, policies and prices without telling us. Nothing on this site is a substitute for confirming details directly with a marina before you rely on them.

Do not make a berthing, purchase, navigation or safety decision on the basis of this site alone. Depths, vessel limits, liveaboard rules and lift capacities in particular must be confirmed with the operator in writing.

To the extent the law allows

The site is provided as-is, without warranty that it is accurate, complete, current or fit for any particular purpose. We are not liable for loss arising from reliance on it. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Your use of the content

The rankings, scores, scoring methodology, written assessments and the arrangement of this site are ours. You are welcome to quote short extracts and individual figures for commentary, journalism or research provided you attribute them to TopMarinas.com.au and link to the page you took them from.

You may not copy the dataset wholesale, scrape the site to rebuild the rankings elsewhere, or present our scores as your own. Marina names, logos and trade marks belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification.

For marina operators

If a fact about your marina is wrong, we want to fix it. Send the correction with a published source through the claim page and we will verify it and update at the next refresh. We will correct any fact you can evidence. We can remove unsupported results and reassess corrected evidence. Payment cannot influence placement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
