Privacy policy

TopMarinas.com.au is a static website. It has no user accounts, shopping cart, comment system or server-side contact database. Its contact form opens your email application; the site itself does not receive or store the form fields.
What we do not do
- We do not set cookies of our own, and we do not use browser storage.
- We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or session-recording tools.
- We do not ask you to create an account, take payments or submit details to a site database.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not collect a database of it.
What is unavoidably collected
Server logs
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records standard request data when a page is served: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page. These logs exist to run and secure the service. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors, and we do not attempt to identify individuals from them.
Google Fonts
Our pages load two typefaces from Google's font service at fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Making that request discloses your IP address and user-agent to Google, and is governed by Google's own privacy policy rather than ours.
Approved marina images
Some marina profiles may load an operator-approved photograph or logo through YouSail or its managed image storage. That image request discloses ordinary request information such as your IP address, browser user-agent and the page containing the image to the image host. These assets are used only to illustrate the marina; they are not advertising or tracking pixels.
Email you send us
If you email us — for example to correct a marina listing — we hold that message, your email address and anything you choose to put in it, for as long as needed to deal with the correction and keep a record of why a listing changed. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list.
Links to other sites
Marina profiles link to marina operators' own websites so you can check the facts we cite. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else's site under their privacy policy, and we have no control over what they collect.
Your rights
Australian privacy law gives you the right to ask what personal information an organisation holds about you, to ask for it to be corrected, and to complain about how it has been handled. Because we hold no visitor database, in practice the only personal information we are likely to hold about you is correspondence you have sent us. Email us and we will tell you what we have and delete it on request, unless we are required to keep it.
Changes
If we add analytics, advertising or any feature that collects more than this, we will update this page and change the date at the top before that feature goes live — not after.
