About Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM)
Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard is a destination for owners who want almost every stage of boat care handled within one purpose-built Coomera precinct. It combines a 200-berth marina, major lifting and hardstand capacity, secure dry storage and more than 90 on-site marine businesses. We think GCCM's real strength is not any single piece of equipment; it is the ability to assemble the right specialists around a vessel, whether the job is routine maintenance or a complex superyacht refit.
Marina accommodation serves vessels from about 10 to 75 metres, with freshwater and shore power options reaching three-phase 125 amps. Dockmasters can assist with lines, and security operates around the clock with site-wide CCTV. The Coomera River position connects to the Gold Coast Broadwater, while the facility maintains a working depth target of approximately 3.5 metres at lowest astronomical tide. Deeper-draft movements require direct assessment, tide planning and advance coordination.
The shipyard has 50,000 square metres of hardstand, enclosed sheds, undercover work areas for vessels up to 100 feet, keel pits and specialist blasting spaces. Multiple lifting systems include 50- and 300-tonne travel lifts. Mechanical, electrical, engineering, painting, fabrication, rigging, electronics, interiors and project-management expertise are all represented on site. What stands out to us is the choice within each trade category, allowing owners or captains to compare approaches and build a coordinated project team.
Everyday support is equally strong. A 24-hour tap-and-go fuel wharf supplies diesel and premium unleaded in standard and high-flow formats. The precinct includes chandleries, a customer lounge, laundry, secure amenities, parking and a waterfront restaurant and bar. Australia's largest fully enclosed dry-boat storage operation is also located here, with unlimited scheduled lifts and retrievals included under its current customer model.
Our take is that GCCM is best for boat owners who value capability, accountability and efficient project logistics. It can serve a family cruiser preparing for the weekend just as confidently as an international yacht undertaking major work. Provide insurance evidence, vessel particulars, access requirements and project scope early, then let the marina and chosen trades plan the sequence. The breadth of support is exceptional, but good coordination remains the key to using it well.
Services
GCCM provides approximately 200 marina berths for vessels from 10 to 75 metres, with fresh water and electrical supply up to three-phase 125 amps. Dockmasters can assist with arrivals and lines, while 24-hour security and CCTV cover the site. The fuel wharf operates around the clock using tap-and-go payment and supplies low-sulphur diesel and premium unleaded, including high-flow options and bulk-fuel arrangements.
The shipyard offers 50,000 square metres of hardstand, enclosed sheds, undercover work areas, keel pits and multiple lifting choices, including 50- and 300-tonne travel lifts. More than 90 on-site marine businesses cover refit, mechanical, electrical, fabrication, paint, engineering, rigging, electronics, interiors, chandlery and specialist project services. GCCM can also provide project-management support for larger or multi-trade work.
Secure, fully enclosed dry storage is available with managed lift and retrieval services. Customer amenities include controlled-access bathrooms, a lounge, laundry, parking and on-site dining. Before arrival, confirm berth or lift suitability, draft, insurance and contractor arrangements. GCCM requires evidence of comprehensive vessel insurance and substantial public-risk cover under its current policy. Deeper-draft craft should coordinate passage timing because Coomera River access may depend on tide and specialist handling.
Ideal for
Owners, captains and project managers seeking comprehensive berthing, lifting, storage, refit and superyacht services in one Gold Coast precinct.
What we love
- More than 90 marine businesses on site
- Major 50- and 300-tonne lifting capability
- Berthing for vessels up to 75 metres
- Round-the-clock tap-and-go marine fuel
- Exceptional hardstand and enclosed storage
To keep in mind
Complex projects benefit from early scope and schedule coordination, while all vessels must meet current insurance requirements. Confirm draft and tide requirements for the Coomera approach, book lifting or covered space well ahead, and clarify which contractor is responsible for each part of a multi-trade job.
