About Marks Point Marina

Marks Point Marina is a family-run boating base on the eastern shore of Lake Macquarie, just south of Belmont Bay and within easy reach of Swansea Channel. It combines modern floating berths with a hands-on service yard, fuel and a proper chandlery. We think that one-stop character is its greatest strength: owners can keep the boat securely, deal with routine maintenance and then head straight onto one of Australia's most enjoyable coastal lakes.

The walk-on concrete marina accommodates vessels up to about 20 metres, while swing moorings provide another option for permanent or temporary stays. Mooring customers can store a tender in the dinghy racks or book the marina's tender service. Secure jet-ski pontoons support smaller craft. CCTV monitors the property, public access is controlled, and on-site parking, toilets, showers and laundry make regular ownership more convenient.

The fuel wharf opens seven days a week and supplies premium unleaded and high-flow diesel during published daytime hours. A fully stocked chandlery helps owners source common marine products without leaving the marina. What stands out to us is the readiness for ordinary boating life: fuel, parts, docking help and experienced staff are close by, rather than presented as occasional external services. Valet boat parking and assistance can also be arranged.

The boatyard's slipway takes suitable vessels up to 60 feet with a maximum beam of 24 feet and is promoted as capable of handling catamarans and houseboats. Services include antifouling, pressure cleaning, painting, fibreglass and shipwright repairs, anodes, running-gear treatment, through-hull installation, towing and inspection lifts. On-site mechanical and welding support, upholstery and brokerage broaden the network. Every lift still depends on verified weight, hull form, dimensions and current yard availability.

Our take is that Marks Point Marina is especially good for Lake Macquarie motorboat owners, cruising yachts, multihulls and houseboats whose maintenance needs exceed a basic berth. It also suits owners who appreciate a familiar team and seven-day fuel access. Confirm berth or mooring availability, tender times and fuel hours, and book the slipway with complete vessel specifications. With those details organised, Marks Point provides a friendly and highly practical platform for enjoying the lake.

Services

Marks Point Marina offers secure walk-on floating berths for vessels up to about 20 metres, plus permanent or temporary swing moorings and jet-ski pontoons. Mooring customers can use dinghy storage or a pre-booked tender service. CCTV, controlled public access, parking, toilets, showers and laundry support owners. Provide complete vessel dimensions and confirm vacancy, utilities and access conditions before accepting a position.

The seven-day fuel wharf sells premium unleaded and high-flow diesel during published daytime hours. A well-stocked chandlery provides marine products and staff advice. Docking assistance and valet boat parking can be arranged. Check current weekend closing times and advise the marina if the vessel needs help alongside, as seven-day operation does not mean round-the-clock fuel.

The slipway accepts suitable boats up to 60 feet with a maximum 24-foot beam, including some catamarans and houseboats. The yard undertakes antifouling, cleaning, painting, fibreglass and shipwright work, anodes, Propspeed, through-hull installations, towing and inspection lifts. Mechanical, welding, upholstery and brokerage businesses add support on site. Supply verified displacement, beam, draft, hull form and lift points, then obtain a written scope and booking before bringing the boat to the yard.

Ideal for

Lake Macquarie yacht, motorboat, multihull and houseboat owners wanting secure berthing backed by fuel, chandlery and a versatile service yard.

What we love

  • Modern secure walk-on floating berths
  • Swing moorings with tender options
  • Seven-day premium unleaded and diesel fuel
  • A well-stocked on-site chandlery
  • A slipway that can handle broad-beamed boats

To keep in mind

Fuel is available seven days but only during published daytime hours. Tender service requires booking, and every slipway job depends on verified vessel weight, beam and hull form. Confirm berth utilities, access and yard scheduling directly rather than relying solely on the headline length limits.
