About d'Albora Horizon Shores Marina
Pacific Point Marina and Boatyard, formerly Horizon Shores Marina, is a large all-purpose boating precinct near Jacobs Well between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. With more than 550 wet berths for vessels up to about 40 metres, 330 dry-storage spaces and extensive hardstand, it operates at a scale few Australian marinas can match. What stands out to us is the ability to support small day boats, cruising yachts, commercial-scale maintenance and larger motor yachts within one waterfront destination.
The wet marina accepts long-term and casual bookings, while the dry stack gives suitable trailerable boats an alternative to ramp launching and outdoor storage. Recent upgrades have added new roads, improved amenities and dozens of berths. Bathrooms, showers, laundry and onsite parking support owners and visitors, while the public boat ramp helps trailer crews reach southern Moreton Bay. Anchorage Café provides a relaxed waterside option for breakfast, lunch or coffee.
A 70-tonne travel lift anchors the full-service boatyard. Mechanical work, antifouling, repairs, detailing and other specialist services are available through d'Albora and a broad tenant network. The hardstand and high-capacity lift make the precinct relevant to serious refit and maintenance projects, but every haul-out needs a vessel-specific assessment. Owners should supply length, beam, draft, displacement and lift-point information rather than relying on the headline tonnage alone.
Fuel is available 24 hours, with dock staff on hand during staffed periods. The Jacobs Well position gives protected-water access towards the islands and channels of southern Moreton Bay, including popular Gold Coast cruising routes. Tides, shallow sections and marked channels demand attention, especially for deeper-draft vessels. We would use current local guidance and charts before assuming that a large marina berth means every approach route suits every boat.
Our take is that Pacific Point is strongest for owners who want scale, choice and technical depth. A boat can move between wet berth, dry storage, fuel dock and yard without leaving the precinct, while dining and amenities keep time ashore comfortable. Confirm the current name in booking systems, exact storage fit and approach plan before travel. For the right vessel, this former Horizon Shores site is one of southeast Queensland's most complete boating bases.
Services
Pacific Point Marina offers more than 550 secure wet berths for vessels up to approximately 40 metres, plus 330 dry-stack spaces and substantial hardstand. Casual and long-term berthing are available subject to dimensions and capacity. Bathrooms, showers, laundry and parking support guests, while a public boat ramp and annual launching arrangements serve trailer boats under current terms.
The full-service boatyard uses a 70-tonne travel lift and supports mechanical servicing, repairs, antifouling, detailing and vessel-management work through onsite marine trades. Fuel is available 24 hours, with assistance from dock staff during staffed periods. Anchorage Café provides waterfront food and coffee, and yacht brokerage is represented through the d'Albora network.
Provide overall length, beam, draft, displacement, height and electrical demand when enquiring. Dry-stack and travel-lift customers must confirm handling geometry and launch notice. Request written boatyard pricing for lift, hardstand, labour, materials, contractors and environmental charges. Visiting crews should confirm fuel access, assigned berth, utilities and current Jacobs Well channel guidance before arrival. Confirm security access, parking arrangements and the current hours for staff-assisted movements before the first visit.
Ideal for
Gold Coast and Brisbane boat owners wanting large-scale wet berthing, dry stack, round-the-clock fuel and a high-capacity boatyard with direct southern Moreton Bay access.
What we love
- More than 550 wet berths for vessels up to approximately 40 metres.
- Dry-stack capacity for around 330 suitable boats.
- A 70-tonne travel lift and extensive working hardstand.
- Twenty-four-hour fuel within a comprehensive marine precinct.
- Protected-water access to southern Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast.
To keep in mind
The marina is now branded Pacific Point, although older records use Horizon Shores. Handling limits require full vessel details. Jacobs Well channels can be shallow and tidal, so confirm the route and berth depth before arrival.
