About Port Lincoln Marina (Lincoln Cove Marina)

Port Lincoln Marina, also known as Lincoln Cove Marina, is a major recreational and commercial basin in Boston Bay serving the heart of South Australia's seafood and offshore boating industries. Its sheltered layout accommodates working craft, cruising boats and local recreational owners, with cafés, the Marina Hotel and the Fishermen's Memorial nearby. We think the marina's strongest quality is context: this is not a decorative waterfront, but a genuine base in one of Australia's most capable regional boating cities.

The governed marina record describes about 174 wet berths, while Sarin Property Group offers selected recreational and commercial positions for daily, weekly or monthly rent and a limited number for sale. Advertised rental sizes include 8, 12 and 14 metres, with larger recreational and commercial opportunities appearing separately. Every booking depends on actual berth geometry. Submit length, beam, weight, registration, insurance and public-liability details through the enquiry process before arrival.

Power and water are available at all managed berths, with three-phase power in the commercial marina. Locked gates and access codes control every pier, and dedicated waste points serve berth users. There are no bathrooms within the marina itself. Council-run toilets and showers are available for a small fee at the Port Lincoln Leisure Centre behind the hotel. What stands out to us is the transparency of the rental process and the ability to choose short stays without losing the security of a controlled working marina.

A 24-hour credit-card fuel berth is reported just outside the marina entrance, but it is not listed as a Sarin berth inclusion, so confirm operator, fuel grades and live access separately. Pump-out, lifting, hardstand and repairs are likewise not part of the managed berth offer, although the wider Port Lincoln marine precinct has established trades and vessel-handling capability. The marina terms prohibit swimming, unauthorised discharges and pets in the marina area and require powered rather than sailed entry and exit.

Our take is that Lincoln Cove is ideal for Eyre Peninsula owners, fishing crews and coastal visitors who value excellent shelter and access to a serious marine town. Central supermarkets are several kilometres away, so provision before berthing or plan road transport. Demand rises around racing and fishing events, including Lincoln Week. Reserve early, follow the gate and no-wake rules and arrange offsite technical needs. With that planning, the marina is an exceptionally useful staging point for Boston Bay, Coffin Bay and Spencer Gulf passages.

Services

Sarin Property Group offers selected Lincoln Cove recreational and commercial berths for daily, weekly and monthly rent, with a limited number also available for sale. Published rental sizes include 8, 12 and 14 metres, plus commercial positions quoted for the vessel. Bookings require registration, length, beam, weight, insurance and public-liability information and acceptance of the berth licence terms.

All managed berths have power and water, while the commercial marina includes three-phase supply. Locked gates require access codes for every pier. Waste facilities include a locked skip near the Marina Hotel and a collection point near Pier 5. The marina itself provides no bathrooms; paid public toilets and showers are available at the nearby Port Lincoln Leisure Centre.

Fuel is reported at a separate credit-card berth near the entrance and should be independently confirmed. Pump-out, travel lift, hardstand and repair services are not included in Sarin's published facilities, so arrange them with wider Port Lincoln providers. Observe the no-wake limit, enter and leave under power, keep walkways clear and do not bring pets into the marina area. Book well ahead during major local events.

Ideal for

Eyre Peninsula recreational owners, working boats and coastal visitors seeking secure powered berths in a sheltered, service-rich maritime city.

What we love

  • A sheltered basin in renowned Boston Bay
  • Flexible daily, weekly and monthly berth rentals
  • Power and water at every managed berth
  • Locked, code-controlled access to all piers
  • Port Lincoln's marine expertise close at hand

To keep in mind

Bathrooms are offsite at the nearby leisure centre, and fuel and technical services are separate from the berth operator. Provisioning in central Port Lincoln needs transport. Confirm exact berth fit, insurance and access codes, and note that marina rules prohibit pets and swimming.
